Hello from Louisiana
« on: September 22, 2015, 09:09:07 am »
Hello everyone. My name is Aaron Thomas and I'm from Covington, LA. I started riding a cruiser a year or so ago and enjoy it but wasn't happy, bought it to save some money, upon reading the Internet I believe my next bike (when the wife finishes school) will be an adventure bike. It is great to see people who walk in faith riding. I've been a Christian since I was 8 but my walk has struggled for a very long time. I'm a career firefighter and see and put up with the worst people (I work in a gang and high murder rate city) and have struggled to keep my faith. My wife became a youth minister last yr and with that I have started growing stonger. It's been tough but hoping to get better and ride for christ instead of myself

Welcome to the site and thanks for your testimony. Prayers for strength and safety for you and your wife.  The Vulcan can still be an adventure bike, you just may see less dirt for now.  We would be happy to hear about your adventures.

Oh yes it sees some trips but right now I stay around here. Yea that's the problem, it doesn't like dirt!

hello bfdast...thanks for the post... I can imagine that working daily in that environment would be stressful...I will pray for peace that surpasses understanding....
... bike wise, I have really only ridden in dirt.... do not ride much , but hoping for some KLR or cb500x or crf1000 time at some point...I have ridden quite a few of the current adv bikes.. but the 2 or 3 I mentioned...so have some perspective that might be of interest... take care... klrkid.

Welcome bfdast! I know this is late but I hope all is going well with you!
