Colorado Colors Tour
« on: September 21, 2014, 10:03:34 pm »
The wife and I just finished 750 miles and three days of riding through Colorado.  This is the 7th year of our annual ride when the Aspens are turning.

This year we rode from Colorado Springs to Leadville and stayed at the Delaware Hotel and ate breakfast the next morning at the Golden Burro.

Then we rode over Independance Pass into Aspen.

Then up to Red Stone and over McClure Pass.

Lunch in Hotchkiss at the Taco Hut....it was awesome!

Evening and night in Crested Butte....

No pics today.....woke up to heavy, drizzling rain.  Had to ride in solid rain for three hours from Crested Butte to west of Buena Vista.  Was very thankful for the Klim gear that had the triple layer Gortex!!!

Thanks for taking time to share your pics -- although it's difficult not to covet  ;D

Which model BMW is that?

Sorry for not answering the bike question.....

2004 BMW R1150RT.....Awesome bike.  Last June it helped me complete the Iron Butt that was put on by the Colorado BMW Club, through the Colorado Mountains.

I sold it a year ago and bought a lightly used 2005 R1200GS.....which I prefer more.
